NEWS
In 2001 The Chapel Foundation began efforts to build a Nature Center at the top of Copper Mountain. In Coordination with Copper Mountain and the Forest Service, we built a multi use open air structure just below Solitude Station. This amphitheater was built with donations from the homeowners, businesses, and friends of Copper Mountain. We used many local professionals, and volunteers from the community to complete the project.
PURPOSE
• An information center for recreation enthusiasts to understand weather patterns, animal and plant habitat, and historical facts, as it pertains to both winter and summer
• A gathering place for Nature Hikes, Ski tours, and informational seminars.
• An inspirational setting for Weddings, Church Services, and Memorials of any denomination.
Come join us on Sunday September 4th at 1:30pm and help us celebrate this major accomplishment. Ride the free chair lift to the top, and take the short hike below Solitude Station. We will bring this Summit County treasure alive with live music and refreshments to go along with the dedication of this facility to the community and its many visitors.
